If you wanna see Thugs, The Musical at the San Francisco Black Film Festival NEXT WEEK, here are the links to purchase tickets! The film will be screened twice:
Our regular screening is scheduled for Saturday, June 16th at 6pm at the African American Arts & Cultural Center (762 Fulton Street). “Thugs” will be shown in a film block with 3 other short films, including a pretty awesome documentary from Law & Order’s S. Epetha Merkerson (I saw it in Dallas – it’s amazing).

And if you want to catch an early screening of “Thugs”, there will be a pre-festival screening & reception on Thursday, June 14th at 6:30pm at the Jazz Heritage Center (1330 Fillmore Street). This will be a special double-feature event featuring “Thugs” and another short film, followed by complimentary food and drinks (1st drink is free).

Both theaters are somewhat small (I think the Jazz Heritage Center only seats 39), so these screenings will very likely sell out. I’d definitely recommend buying tickets as soon as you can.
Also, despite what the link page for the June 14th show says, I will NOT be appearing as “Elrus Pearsley” – that’s someone else. I will be at both screenings though, so I hope to see all my SF peeps there!
